It is your responsibility to review the current Terms before booking.1) Services & ScopeAncient Courtyard (operated by M.C., sole proprietor, FBN registered in California, USA) provides resume support, LinkedIn copy, mock interviews, copywriting, and consulting/coaching.Services are educational and informational only. They are not medical, mental-health, legal, financial, immigration, tax, or other regulated professional advice.2) Deliverables & TimelinesDeliverables are described on the booking page (e.g., resume in .docx or PDF, LinkedIn rewrite, mock interview scorecard, ad copy).Timelines (e.g., “48-hour resume fix,” “72-hour resume build”) begin after the intake call and after all required inputs are received (resume, notes, target roles, intake answers).3) Client MaterialsInputs should be sent within 24 hours of the intake call.If inputs are late, the delivery timeline pauses until received.If no inputs are received within 7 days, the order may be closed with no refund.4) What Counts as DeliveredDelivery is on time when drafts or materials are sent to your provided email or a share link is generated before the deadline (timestamp in my outbox or link log applies). I will re-send if blocked by your provider or filters.5) Client-Side DelaysI am not responsible for delays caused by your email provider, spam filters, storage limits, or late/incorrect materials.6) Late-Credit PolicyIf I fail to deliver within the agreed timeline for reasons within my control, you are entitled to 25% back of the service price, either as a partial refund via Stripe (where available) or as a credit toward future services.Events outside my control (power/internet outages, provider downtime, family emergencies, natural disasters) are excluded, though I will communicate a new ETA.Partial refunds or credits beyond this may be offered at my sole discretion.7) Payments, Rescheduling, CancellationsPayment is due at booking, in USD.Prices are exclusive of any international conversion or bank fees. Your card provider determines the exchange rate and may add fees—I am not responsible for those.You may reschedule up to 6 hours before your appointment.Because preparation begins immediately, all sales are final. Missed sessions, no-shows, or late/absent inputs are not refundable.8) RevisionsMost services include one revision within 7 days of delivery. Revisions apply to the same role/industry, not brand-new versions for other roles.9) ConfidentialityI will never share personally identifiable information (name, email, phone, addresses, schools, employer names, links, IDs).If I seek perspective from my professional network, I may share a brief, non-identifiable summary of roles, tasks, and results for best-practice input.I may describe generalized, anonymized outcomes in marketing only with your explicit written consent.10) RecordingsPersonal use: Mock interviews may be recorded only with your consent, given verbally at the start of the session (and captured in the recording) or in writing/email before or after. Recordings are for your personal review and will not be shared without consent.Marketing use: Recordings (or excerpts) may only be used in marketing or promotional materials with your separate, explicit written consent.11) Copywriting & Marketing ServicesAncient Courtyard also provides copywriting, content, and marketing-related services (e.g., ad copy, product descriptions, email campaigns, social captions, and related creative work).Deliverables: Services are delivered in digital form (e.g., Word/Google Docs, PDF, or direct text/email). Deliverables and timelines are defined at booking, in writing, or through a mutually agreed verbal arrangement confirmed during the session.Revisions: Unless otherwise specified, copywriting packages include one round of revisions within 7 days of delivery, limited to adjustments of tone, clarity, or emphasis. Substantive rewrites or new directions may be subject to additional fees.Intellectual Property: Upon full payment, you receive a license to use the copy in your business marketing. Drafts, templates, and methods remain my intellectual property. You may not resell, redistribute, or license my work to third parties without written permission.Portfolio Mentions: I may describe the type of copy created (e.g., “sales email campaign,” “social ad caption,” “website landing page”) and the general benefits achieved, but without naming the client or revealing identifying details. This allows me to demonstrate expertise while keeping your brand anonymous unless you give explicit permission otherwise.12) Advertising & Compliance DisclaimerCopywriting is provided in good faith based on your brief, inputs, and goals. However:You are responsible for reviewing and approving final copy before use.I am not liable for regulatory or platform compliance issues (e.g., FTC rules, FDA/health claims, financial disclosures, ad platform policies, copyright infringement of materials you provide).Any claims, testimonials, or data provided by you for inclusion must be accurate, lawful, and substantiated. By booking, you confirm you have the rights to all materials you supply (logos, images, brand names, product claims).13) No GuaranteesOutcomes depend on market conditions, employer needs, ad platforms, timing, and other factors beyond my control. I do not guarantee interviews, offers, sales, admissions, or specific ROI. Services are provided in good faith from real-world experience; what works for one client may not work for another.14) Age RequirementServices are intended for individuals 18+.
If you are 16 or 17, by booking you confirm that you have parental or guardian approval and that the parent/guardian is responsible for the booking and payment. By proceeding, you represent that you meet this requirement.15) International ClientsI serve clients worldwide. If you are in the EU/UK, you may have statutory consumer rights (e.g., 14-day withdrawal for distance contracts). By booking a service to begin within 14 days, you request immediate performance and acknowledge you may lose that right once the service is fully performed.
Prices are in USD. Taxes/VAT may be applied by Stripe where required.16) Intellectual PropertyYou receive a personal license to use delivered materials (resume, LinkedIn copy, or ad copy) for your own job search or business marketing. Templates, drafts, and methods remain my intellectual property. Do not resell or present my work as your own service.17) PrivacyYour data is processed to schedule sessions, deliver drafts, send reminders, and process payments. See the Privacy Policy for details.18) LiabilityTo the maximum extent allowed by law:Services are provided “as is.”My total liability is capped at the amount you paid for the service.I am not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages (lost opportunities, income, or business).19) Governing Law & VenueThese Terms are governed by the laws of California, USA. Any disputes will be brought in the courts of San Diego County, California, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.20) Export Controls & SanctionsYou confirm you are not located in, under control of, or a national/resident of a country or person sanctioned by the U.S., EU, UK, or UN.21) ChangesThese Terms may be updated at any time.
